We all have a part to play in keeping CWD under control and ensuring the future of hunting in Oregon. Here are some things you can do to help: ‌

  1. Get your harvest sampled – this won't harm or affect taxidermy plans. ‌

  2. Don't use commercial urine-based scent lures – they are banned in Oregon. ‌

  3. Don't bring brain and spinal columns of deer, elk, caribou or moose harvested in another state or province back to Oregon. See "Parts Ban" in Big Game Regs for details. ‌

  4. Talk to your fellow hunters about CWD and why it's important to do what we can to keep it out of Oregon. ‌

For more information and detailed tips on how to get your harvest tested visit the CWD section of MyODFW.com ‌‌
